Äldsta dottern fastnade för en tehuva i en underbar bok som heter Enkel virkning. En sådan kan du väl virka till mig?
Problemet med mönster i böcker är ju att de oftast inte är virkade av restgarner, även om de ger sig ut för det. Färgerna matchar ju lite för bra bara, och det som ser ut som en lycklig slump är egentligen noggrann uträkning.
Så det blev en tur till Deisy Design igen. Drops Ice vinterbomull. Och en tehuva fodrad med svart bomull och med mellanlägg av fleece som blev över när A gjorde sina halsdukstingestar.
The eldest daughter fell in love with a tea pot warmer (what's the word again, I really don't remember and sister Donnellan is in Thailand... Ah, tea cosy it is, cheers, Kersti!) in a wonderful book named Enkel virkning (Easy crocheting). Oh, please, crochet one of these for me, Mum!
The problem with crocheting following patterns from books is that they are most oftenly not made out of left over yarn, even if they look like it. The colours match just a little bit too good, and what looks like sheer coincidence is in fact thorough calculation.
So I had to frequent Deisy Design once more. Drops Ice vinterbomull. And a tea pot warmer lined with black cotton fabric and with an interlining of white fleece, leftovers from As scarves thingies.
